This is my brand new blog under Strange Magic Mamas. I'm very excited to report that I think I've found a commercial kitchen to work out of that is affordable too. Going to look at it this morning with my daughter Chelsea. Let me give you a little background. I was an insurance agent for about ten yrs give or take. I tried for fifteen yrs to have a family with my current husband. About the time we gave up, we got pregnant with my 20 mth old son Ezra. So I went back to work for a while after he was born but soon found myself very disillusioned with working for others. I had a bad case of carpel tunnel that had me on disability. When it ran out- I never went back and I've been much happier for it. I also have two kids from a previous relationship that are grown and out in the world. Chelsea is my oldest at almost 26yrs. She is married to my son-in-law Barry. They have two kids- Logan 3 yrs. and Ellie 20 mths as well. My older son Dan is 22ys old and lives here in Spokane too. I'm married to a great guy Kipp who puts up with way to much for me and is the love of my life. We are currently awaiting the birth of a little girl in April. So the big goal for me here is to share the adventure of starting up my very own baking business with my daughter Chelsea. We both have a love of great food, hand crafted items and clothes! So we decided why not use that to give ourselves some income and create the perfect jobs for us. So here we go! I have a great contact who has been thru all of this before and wants to help me get going in the right direction. I'm going to look at the kitchen this morning. We also had the genius idea to sell our unwanted stuff on ebay and use the money to start up! My daughter came up with that-she's so smart. So what you'll find here is our dreams, goals and setbacks along with photos of our creations and maybe some great recipes too!
